Good Day,
Can anyone advise on the levels of noise generated by the "Cisco Nexus 9500 Series Switch Chassis" ?
We currently have the Cisco Nexus 9500 series model (N9K-C9508: 8-Slot Chassis). Additionally, it is equipped with 3 fan trays (N9K-C9508-FAN).
I couldn't find neither the datasheets nor any documentation associated with the fan trays or its' associated levels of noise generated (A-Weighting / dBA).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you kindly,
Engineer A. Fairouz

Hi @Akilliez
There is no public info about the N9500's fan acoustics. You have two options to move forward:
1. Send an email to documentation team (you have a feedback link on any cisco page).
2. Look at other Nexus 9000 platforms and see what is the noise level on those ones, and add few more dBs. For example:
The N9K-C9364C-GX has:

If its like most other Nexus 9K platforms, im going to say loud...its a DC switch after all.

Agreed, we have 2 of them running at half capacity in our data center.
Renovations are being made on the room & I would like to take into account the noise generated for a better insulation grading of the rooms' interior.
For some reason, no data has been documented by cisco for these fan trays.
