OTV Unicast-only mode

Hello,

I am configuring OTV Unicast mode and when configuring the Overlay interface, specificaly the "otv joing-interface e1/5", I receive the following message:

OTV needs join interfaces to be configured for IGMP version 3.

Do I need to configure this?

under the OTV interface make sure you use

otv adjacency-server unicast-only
otv use-adjacency-server 10.10.2.2 unicast-only

For the join int just use the command igmp version 3 this won’t effect anything as you have the Unicast server configuration already.

Hi Luis,

You don't need IGMP to be enabled for OTV unicast only mode. Probably you hit an order of operation issue. Did you configure the OTV adjacency-server unicast-only command underneath the OTV overlay interface before linking the join-interface to the overlay? Please try & advise.
