Hi All,
I installed a N9kV switch for vxlan testing, Requested License from Cisco licensing team and they provided me a demo license for about 60 days. At some point I reloaded the nexus switch it boots up with a new serial number and I lost my license. Every time I reload it comes with the new serial number.
Before reloading the switch:
Mod MAC-Address(es) Serial-Num
--- -------------------------------------- ----------
1 00-0c-29-57-c3-9b to 00-0c-29-57-c3-e2 9PRNTDB91UF
After reloading the switch:
Mod MAC-Address(es) Serial-Num
--- -------------------------------------- ----------
1 00-0c-29-57-c3-9b to 00-0c-29-57-c3-e2 9YB3J2F5HSC
Itseems the change in serial number only not in mac address and UUID . How to prevent this serial number change, I was banging my head to find the root cause for this. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
N9kV version: nxos.7.0.3.I6.1.bin
