Hi,
Currently I have a pair of Nexus 7009 with OS 6.1(2), FAB-2 & SUP2 with the following licenses output:
Feature Ins Lic Status Expiry Date Comments
Count
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MPLS_PKG No - Unused -
STORAGE-ENT No - Unused -
VDC_LICENSES No 0 Unused -
ENTERPRISE_PKG No - Unused -
FCOE-N7K-F132XP No 0 Unused -
FCOE-N7K-F248XP No 0 Unused -
ENHANCED_LAYER2_PKG No - Unused -
SCALABLE_SERVICES_PKG No - Unused -
TRANSPORT_SERVICES_PKG No - Unused -
LAN_ADVANCED_SERVICES_PKG Yes - Unused Never -
LAN_ENTERPRISE_SERVICES_PKG Yes - In use Never -
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The strange thing here is that i am currently using the 7K with 2 active vDCs. However the output shows that the LAN_ADVANCED_SERVICES_PKG is in "Unused" status.
Is this status correct? Why is not showing me as"In use" status?

Have you enabled the LAN_ADVANCED_SERVICES_PKG license? try using grace period and see or if you have valid license file reenable it and check.

Hi,
License Is not using grace period, should show that on comments or expiry date.
I have no grace period alerts popping up either.
VDC#1 has no interfaces allocated. VDC#2 has all interfaces allocated.
Weird thing is that both VDCs are enabled and up and running.
Cant it be possible that VDC#1 is the default VDC and having no interfaces allocated cannot be considered as production VDC ?
even i see that "feature vdc" is not configured on the device....and "no system admin-vdc" is configured.
So i understand I have enabled the LAN_ADVANCED_SERVICES_PKG license, or should be a command to check or enable it?
Regards

Try "show license usage vdc-all". I'm using OTV license, but when I try the command without "vdc-all" I see "Unused" for TRANSPORT_SERVICES_PKG.
