vPC peer-link (F2e and F3 on each side)

Hi all,

I was wondering can I have vPC peer-link formed in the following configuration in Nexus 7000, NX-OS version 6.2(10):

F2e----------------F2e

F3-----------------F3

This is due to migration from F2e modules (where currently vPC peer-link is configured) to F3 modules on both ends.

Thanks,

My understanding is that it should work so long as the two switches pass the vPC consistency check:

Did some more research and found this guide. Appears that it is not supported.

Thanks Sean. I was hoping that since F3 line cards are only an enhancement to F2e series of line cards we can have them mixed for a few seconds (or minutes) in the bundle until we remove F2e's line cards out of the chassis and be running purely on F3 line cards.

Currently, vPC peer-link has been configured in a port-channel as follows:

F2e--------F2e
