vpc: Unexpected Event [24] received on peer-link [1]

Hi there,

I am having trouble testing a new back-to-back vPC setup.

I have two vPC domains connected:

1a(pri)    <-->  2a (pri)

1b(sec)  <-->  2a (sec)

I have setup some continous pings behind vPC's connected to classical etherchannel switches.

When we reload the secondary (1b) we just loose maybe 1 ping.

When we reload the primary (1a), we loose connectivity for about 30sec? Which should not be the case in a typical vPC setup.

I have tried to look in the most obvious parameters but couldn't find any lead.

The only thing I can see in the system internal logs i can't explain and maybe leads to the possible cause:

 2017 Dec 28 15:05:16.543991 vpc: Unexpected Event [24] received on peer-link [1]

The ICMP replies stop just after the vPC PL comes back online.

Delay-restore = 180s

Auto-recovery = 240s

Any help is kindly appreciated!

I think I've found my issue... going to test it tomorrow... I have configured vpc "peer-switch" but I think i've configured the STP prio's differently in between the primary en secondary.... going to fix that tomorrow and let you guys know.... tbc

Let me know if that works. Typically I don’t setup peerswitch.
