Why the limit on FEX numbers?

Just wondering why we are limited to only using 100-199 for FEX numbering...?

Just came up with a port-channel numbering scheme for two rooms and ended up using numbers above 200 to designate rooms (ie 212 - room 2, rack 1, FEX 2). Having to rethink it now as I can only pick 100-199 for a FEX and I wanted the port-channels to match...

Is there a technical reason for this limitation? Or is it maybe something that can be changed in future software updates?

Similar problem here.  Racks

The reason you're seeing 100-199 I think is the Fexes on Module 1 are 100-199, Module 2 are 200-299, and so on.

I have the same problem: racks in our data center are 0201, 0202, 0301, 0302, etc.  My proposed solution is make the Fex numbers 6 or 7 digit, or allow for names to be used rather than numbers.
