Hi,
I'd need to increase 10Gbps interfaces on our core/distribution chassis (C6500). We actually have C6704 card, but only used for chassis interconnection.
We need for the future to connect blade servers racks directly on the core/distribtuion chassis and I thought to the WS-X6716-10G-3C model. Is it a good choice or are there limitations for such a use?
Thanks
P.

6716 has sixteen 10 Gbps. Your supervisor card can push up to 40 Gbps between slots. So you have a 4:1 over-subscription rate.
Is this acceptable to you?
PS: Let's not talk about putting this line card into "performance mode".

Ok, thanks for answer.
It is indeed acceptable as 10 Gbps evolution motivation is mainly to remove 1gbps Etherchannels We don't have critical traffic which would need 1:1 oversubsription.
