3640 RAS server

Hello All,

We have Cisco 3640 RAS server with integrated Modem module card (16 ports ) , connected with Analog Telephone lines and it works fine . The management has decided to change all the Telephone lines in the company to Digital phone including RAS Telephone lines . Will this module support digital lines?. I've put the modem version for your information . If the current module does not support to digital , what should we do to support digital lines?.

No..NM-16AM(16 port Analog modem module) will not support or terminate the calls from digital lines (BRI or T1/PRI or CAS)

In order to terminate the analog calls over digital lines, you need a digital modems in 3640. Digital MICA modems will do that job for you. So you need NM-xxDM whrere xx is multiple of 6. Pl. visit following url for that
