Hi,
One of our 4006 swotch start hanging more frequently and only why to recover it by rebooting it. To get more information about the issue I setup a external syslog server. The message I received in syslog server before the switch hang up is as below:
Jan 24 16:40:12 C4006-440-Dre.sv.sc.philips.com 2002 Jan 24 16:39:25 %SPANTREE-2
-RX_1QNON1QTRUNK: Rcved 1Q-BPDU on non-1Q-trunk port 1/2 vlan 440
Jan 24 16:40:12 C4006-440-Dre.sv.sc.philips.com last message repeated 5 times
Any one have idea what that mean and what need to perform to solve the problem.
Thank you in advance.

The message seems like there is a switch configured for 802.1Q trunking connected to your port 1/2 which is non-trunking.
To fix config: set trunk 1/2 [on, nonegotiate, auto,...] see details of set trunk in documentation.
But this should not hang your switch....

Thanks for reply. Actually I checked the trunk configuration and it's seem to me fine. We have two uplinks 1/1 & 1/2. 1/1 is active where as 1/2 is blocked. I'm not sure that the switch is hanging becuase of this issue. What I know that the trunk configuration is correct and this message is always recoreded on syslog server before switch hang.
Any one can help.
