Why after a backup ACLServer do no restart?

I try to backup ACLM data with this commands:

%NMSROOT%\bin\pdterm AclmServer

%NMSROOT%\bin\perl %NMSROOT%\bin\aclmbackup.pl

%NMSROOT%\bin\perl %NMSROOT%\bin\aclmbackup.pl <c:\batch\aclpath.txt >>c:\batch\log.log

%NMSROOT%\bin\pdexec AclmServer

Backup is ok, but when I try to connect to ACLM server from RME menu this message appears: "Failed to connect to ACLM Server".

Why ?

Thanks.

Is your Campus Manager Topology Services window also up at the same time?. Is so, close it out and then re-try. Also make sure that the ACLM Server process is running.

Sorry, but I don't understand!

If I try to backup ACLM data with ACML server running this error appears "ERROR: ACL Manager server is running.

ACL Manager server must be shutdown for taking backup."

If I use the command in the first message (founded into help!!) I must uninstall and then reinstall ACL Manager after a successfully backup!

Thanks.

Hi,

Please re-run the backup using the following instructions given below

step1: %NMSROOT%\bin\pdterm AclmServer

step 2: %NMSROOT%\bin\perl %NMSROOT\bin\aclmbackup.pl

You will be prompted to enter the directory where backed up data will be stored. Please enter an existing directory.

step 3: %NMSROOT%\bin\pdexec AclmServer

wait for sometime.

After issuing the command "pdexec AclmServer "

run the following command

%NMSROOT%\bin\pdshow AclmServer

In the output of this command, You will see a Status field specified. If it is

"State = Running but busy flag set"

then wait for some time (around 3 minutes) and

then try to connect to AclmServer from RME menu.

If the state is not Running then please EMAIL me the following information

1.Output of pdshow AclmServer

2.Contents of the log file

%NMSROOT\CSCOpx\log\AclmServer.log

Thanks,

Anjana
