Adding 5 WS-6704-10GE cards to a 6509-E

Good Morning - presently we are using a 6509-E with (2) SUP720-3B; (2) WS-X6724-SFP and (3)  WS-X6704-10GE with slots 3 and 4 open.  We are also using (2) 3000W power supplies.  We are looking into adding 2 10GE cards in slots 3 and 4.

My worries here are heat and power consumption.  Was curious if anyone has run this type of configuration before and what, if any problems they were having.  Thank you in advance for any help.

Do you have any service contract?  The reason I ask, if you do, you should be able to run Cisco's power calculator.  Are you are of this tool?

You've got more than enough power to power up two additional 6704-10GB.

Thank you to both replies.
