Just wondering if I can use the WIC-1DSU-T1 module on a 2600 for a 56k circuit. The reason being that my remote sites will start today with 56k but later will upgrade to higher rates, so I dont want to get a 56k dsu/csu module and then have to replace them later when I upgrade to higher speeds.

No; a DDS circuit (56/64k circuit) requires different hardware. T1s are commonly configured as small as 128K (2 of 24 DS0s turned up) and it's technically possible to get 56K/64K T1s (1 of 24 DS0s turned up), but not many carriers would have pricing for that.

Almost everyone who puts in 56k circuits (at least in North America) ends up ripping them out in favor of 128/256k circuits soon afterward, so give careful consideration to whether or not you really want 56k.
