During an IOS upgrade to one of my 6509s I received a programming algorithm mismatch error. After a little research I discovered that the bootflash needed to be re-formatted, which I did. Then I made the mistake of rebooting the switch before copying a new bootloader file onto the bootflash. I have been able to xmodem a file to get out of ROMMON but since the 6509 won't complete a boot I stay at the MSFC "Router(boot)" prompt. In that mode on the 6509 I don't get any interfaces for tftp nor do I have access to slot0. I can't figure out how to copy a file onto the bootflash. Any ideas?

Hello,
not sure which MSFC you have or wether you are running native or hybrid IOS, but check out this document, it explains how to recover a Catalyst from a corrupted or missing boot loader image or ROMmon mode:

Thanks Georg, that probably would have done it. As it turned out, the TAC decided to replace the hardware and sent out a new sup card.
