I have a Catalyst 3560G switch with 24-RJ45 ports. These ports are 10/100/1000 and 4-1GB fiber ports for SFP. I have a backbone switch which is Cisco Catalyst 4006 with 8 1GB fiber uplink ports.
I've tried connecting the two switchs using 50M Duplex MMF cable 50\125 micron fiber using LC\LC ends. I'm using a patch cable that has LC\SC end and is 62.5\125 microns and using a LC\SC duplex adapter.

The two switchs are not communicating with each other, any ideals why?

Hello,
what is the LED status on your switches ? Is the LED off or amber ?
Make sure you have not installed the SPF upside down in your 3560 switch.

The SPF module is installed correctly, there's no lights on the 3560G were the module is installed. There's a green light on the Cisco 4000 switch were the GBIC is installed.
I checked to verify that the fiber ends are correctly inserted into the gbic and spf with IN going into In position on both modules and Out going into Out position on both modules.
thanks,
