Cisco 4000 series router as a frame switch

I have a old cisco 4000 series router in my home lab. I was once told that it can be set up to act as a frame-relay switch in order to simulate frame-relay between other routers I have in my lab. I am wondering if this is true and if there are any resources for setting it up.
