configure LANE with Cisco 7206 & IBM 8274 switch

Hi,

We have one Cisco 7206 router connected to 3COM CoreBuilder 7000 ATM switch ( configured as a LECS, LES ), The Cisco 7206 router configured as a LEC and it worked fine.

Now my customer want to change network configuration, remove 3COM CoreBuilder 7000, connect Cisco 7206 router to another one IBM 8274 switch, configure the Cisco 7206 router as a LECS, LES & LEC, but it fail to work.

Can you give me some advise to resolve this problem?

If your local router above is the one that should be LECS/LES/BUS/LEC, then your configuration is wrong. Is the ATM switch configured to point to the router as LECS? Notice in your output that the local LECS address and that notified from the switch are different. Also, your LANE database doesn't look like it's using local addresses. Use the 'sh lane def' command to determine your local addresses on the router to use for the atm-server-addresses.

For example your LECS address should be

39.03488001BC90000101A4E190.000C8613E43B.00

The server addresses for this same router would be for example...for elan119

39.03488001BC90000101A4E190.000C8613E439.77

so your database entry should be

name elan119 server-atm-address 39.03488001BC90000101A4E190.000C8613E439.77

Use the 'sh lane def' command to determine your local addresses on the router to use for the atm-server-addresses.

so your database entry should be

What`s the following message mean :

Now I understand the LANE ATM address is wrong, but in the IBM 8274 switch, which parameter I must be setup? and is there any relation with Cisco 7206 router configuration?

From you configuration your atm lecs server's atm address is "ATM Address of this LECS: 39.03488001BC90000101A4E190.000C8613E43B.00 (auto)"

Try to disable auto and change it to 47.00000000003C0000A0000000.000C8613E438.00

and make sure the lecs server answer's to the wellknow atm lecs address 47.007900000000000000000000.00A03E000001.00 see if it work.
