Creating an Uplink Port

I'm needing to create an uplink port on a c2924xl. Can anyone point me to the correct documenation.

There is no special configuration needed. If it is just one VLAN, assign the interface to whatever VLAN you want. If you want it to be a trunk, configure trunking under the interface. You can find some config examples at

The problem is that I don't have a VLAN setup. I have recently inheraited this network and I have 2 Netgear switchs, 2 Linksys switchs, 1 Cisco Hub (400 series) and 1 Cisco 2900 switch. I'm trying to add a new 2900 switch and I'm not sure how to setup one of the ports as uplink.
