Hi,

I'v a DDR scenario with a communication between two PRI interfaces.

If I configure a "dialer load-threshold" on a dialer interface on one side, when the bandwidth occupation excedees a specificated value other isdn calls are activated.

What is the really advantage to configure both "ppp multilink"?

thanks,

Graz.

Prior to cisco supporting MPPP (around 11.2 IOS days) a proprietary method of providing Bandwidth on Demand (BOD) was coded. However, this approach is dated, it's had no enhancements since it's inception, it's proprietary, and it does not utilize fragmentation. It's better to use MPPP, as this is a standard, it's much more mature, and you have much more control over different facet's (fragmentation, interleaving, etc).

Hi,

In DDR when the second or third ....etc channel gets activated there will not be any load balance across the two or more channels.

when PPP Multilink is used

1.Load balance/sharing will be there.

2.PPP Multilink interliving can also provide QOS for realtime traffic
