EIGRP EVENTS: redist rt

Hello all,

I am having some problems with mutual redistribution, and I have a plan to fix this with some route-maps and tagging.

I would like to know what the following messages are from the "show ip eigrp events" as I have run it through the output interpreter and it skips any lines relating to redistribution.

106 13:00:00.890 Rcv update dest/orig: 11.111.3.0/30 Redistributed

107 13:00:00.890 Redist rt event: Route Down

108 13:00:00.890 Redist rt change: 11.111.3.0/30 Redistributed

Does thiis mean that this network is being redistributied INTO EIGRP or EIGRP is redistributing this route into another protocol?

Also, I see a bizarre entry in my EIGRP topo table that shows this route as an external with NO

external data and a hop count of zero?

router1> sh ip eigrp top 11.111.3.0 255.255.255.252

The output shows a hop count of 2. Do you have multiple EIGRP autonomous systems on the same router? This can cause discrepancies in the EIGRP topology table when there is mutual redistribution.

can you post an example of your config?
