We have a 6509 with etherchannel of 4 trunks going to each 4006 Switch. We recently tested upgrading from CatOS "cat4000.6-3-5.bin" on which everything works to cat4000.k8.8-1-1.bin where we lose 2 of the trunks to each 4006 switch which is upgraded. The 6509 still shows the ports as active but on the 4006 switches they are not lit or active. I tested this on multiple 4006 switches with the same results. The ports that "die" are fiber GBICS in a WS-X4306-GB blade. Any help would be appreciated -thanks
Yes, When the ports are regular access ports they work fine but as soon as they are turned into trunks and channels the link light goes off and is shown as "notconnected" on the 4006 side but comes up as "connected" on the 6509 side.
