Explaining INPUT DROPS, on MSFC2 running Native

Hi all. Im having some issues with a few VLANS on a Cat 6000 running an MSFC2 and code version:

c6sup2_rp-IS-M

On some VLAN's i am seeing when issuing: show interface VLAN XX. A high number of Input DROPS. Could someone point me in the right direction to start to identify what exactly a INPUT drop would constitute?

Thanks.

Packets without destination such as arp broadcasts are dropped by the MSFC, which acts as a router. If the count is not very high, I don't think this could be an issue. You might want to increase the input queue buffer using the hold-queue in command to reduce the input drops. Take a look at this troubleshooting document.
