Frame-relay class 3072 CIR error

I have a CISCO chasis 7204, IOS c7200-js-mz.120-9.

I try to create the following frame-relay traffic-shaping map class:

map-class frame-relay 3072ke0

no frame-relay adaptive-shaping

frame-relay cir 3072000

frame-relay bc 384000

frame-relay mincir 3072000

When entering the commands, I get following error message:

router(config)#map-class frame-relay 3072ke0

router(config-map-class)#no frame-relay adaptive-shaping

router(config-map-class)#frame-relay cir 3072000

Map Class Error: Numbers >= 2048 need trailing 0's,

44 3072000 3 3072

It look like this is a bug on this IOS and CIR is limited to 2047000 maximum.

Please confirm this.

Is there a workaround or must I upgrade the IOS???

I would try upgrading. It looks like there were a few bugs on CIR in 12.0 on the 7200 platform. I couldn't find your symptoms specifically at a glance.
