Hello,
I have a basic question on testing frame-relay on 2 cisco routers.
One router is a 2610 with a Wic2t, one 2504 router with 2 serial connections.
Is it possible to simulate a 2 frame-relay connections with both serial ports to the wic2t?
Thanks in advance for your input.

Your topology would look something like this.
2610 ---s0---------s0 2504
|-------s1---------s1-|
The problem with this configuration is when you configure ip address on the DTE equipment(say 2504), s0 and s1 of 2504 cannot fall in the same subnet. As long as u dont use layer 3 you can simulate frame-relay switching.
You will also need a special cable with smartserial interface on 2610 end, and a db60 interface on 2504 end.
To configure FR switching, see the following link.
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios121/121cgcr/wan_c/wcdfrely.htm#25316
To simulate FR and to facilitate L3 routing, you will need to have a 3rd router.

Thanks,
I will look into the PDF file for the config info.
The cables that I would need are, Smart Serial to DB60 male. Which cables are these, cisco part number and model number.
I have looked at the cisco documentation, but not able to figure out which ones they are. Can someone help to clarify the exact cable.
Thanks in advance,
Juan
