How can I configure for a span port inpkts with IOS in a 6509 switch?

With CATOS I have inpkts option when configuring span or port mirroring. Is there a function simmilar to this in CATIOS for Catalyst 6509? How do I configure it and what IOS version do I need to be able to perform it.

I need a simmilar feature because we are installing external Cisco Network IDSs and need to send action resets as we detect an attack. What simmilar feature could give me this facility of sending a reset throughout my 6500 switch to the victim?

If there is not a way, when do Cisco plan to implement this feature?
