how many IP-Interfaces are possible on a 3550 ?

how many IP-Interfaces (each with HSRP and all with differnet HSRP-groups) are possible on a 3550?

are there only 16 possible (with newest IOS!) ???

3550 supports maximum 16 HSRP groups. You can however, repeat the HSRP group under a different vlan interface, which means, you can use the same HSRP group under multiple different vlans. This makes the fact that you can not go above 16 groups a non-issue. Just use the same group number under the different VLANs.

the 17th (with already configured hsrp group, for example group 1 which is on interface Vlan1) interface becomes a error message !
