How to improve remote access dial in speed (with NM-16am on Cisco2610)

my RAS (nm-16am on Cisco 2610) gets 21.6kbps dial in speed almost all the time. However, nm-16am support dial in speed up to 33.6kbps. Can anyone give me some hints to improve the connection speed?

Its a known problem since the NM-AMs are very sensitive to grounding and RFI issues. Make sure the router is properly grounded and RF interference has been

filtered from the analog phone line. You can buy RF filters from any electronics store.
