HSRP on router and firewall

Juz wondering whether i could run HSRP on a pix firewall? if so can i run HSRP on a router and pix firewall so that i can use the router as a hot standby for the pix firewall

No you cannot, Only way to do this is to use a PIX and use either a failover cable, or to use LAN based failover for the PIX.

PIX not support HSRP because not use IOS software.But you can use failover/stateful failover on PIX.Required 2 unit of PIX with same hardware & software version.
