Is there a simple method for finding switch ports that have not been used for, let's say, 1 month. We have users that have the ability to move or remove their desktops without us knowing it. Thus, the port is configured (and we think it is being used) but in reality it is not. The switch port does show "notconnected", but it could be that the device is powered off.
Thanks....

show interface has last input and last output lines that should tell you when the last time a packet was sent or received on that interface in hh:mm:ss...

If this is an option to you, or in the case that you monitor your net, turn on port traps for that port. For switches that users log in and out of alot, your log can fill up quickly.
