interface range problem

I am trying to use the interface range command on a 4500 switch and it is refusing to take it. I would able to use the command just a couple months ago but I dont remember what I exactly typed in.

I tried typing:

interface range gig 5/1 - 48,gig 6/1 - 48,gig 7/1 - 48

I even tried to use ? to help guide me but nothing will work. Any suggestions?

I am also getting this same issue as you have with the Range giving an error - exactly as you said.

ive been using different varians wth the input error.\

Any one enjountered ths issue.

This is preventing me from continuing
