My Question is tht i saw two options while looking for a better layers 3 switch config with intervlan routing.i want to have intervlan traffic communicate thru the switch and the traffic for outside being handled by the router.Kindly advice on the best option.
i have come up with two options will they work
A.
ip routing
int vlan 2
ip address 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0
int vlan 4
ip address 10.0.0.2 255.255.255.0
int vlan 10
ip address 10.0.0.4 255.255.255.0
no vlan 1 defined.
ports 5-7 for vlan 2,ports 7-10 vlan 4,ports 11-18 vlan 10.only the port 2 is connected to the router and the no switch port command is entered along with an /30 ip address.
B.
in this case if i still connect port 2 with the router but it will be on vlan 1 with the interface vlan 1 having the /30 ip address.do i need to configure trunking if traffic from other vlans need to go thru the router what will be the config.
