I have a subnet 192.168.0.0/16 going via a firewall 10.44.56.1

I want to use 192.168.4.0/28 for another network that should not go via the firewall, is this possible?.

If not what subnet address can I use. As I need a subnet in the 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255 range?

Thanks

Hello,

you can route the 192.168.0.0/16 to the firewall and at the same time route the 192.168.4.0/28 to another destination, since the routing will look at the longest match. Keep in mind though that when the next hop for the 192.168.4.0 network is not available, all traffic will go to the firewall, because that is the next best match.

Regards,

Georg
