Hi
I am connecting a 10GB SFP (SFP-H10GB) to WS-C3750X-24S and get below error. I am in impression that 10gb module is backward compatible on 1GB ports. Is there any configuration needed to be able to connect this.
Jul 15 14:17:09.129: %GBIC_SECURITY_CRYPT-4-ID_MISMATCH: Identification check failed for GBIC in port Gi1/0/17 (SW-1)
Jul 15 14:17:09.129: %PM-4-ERR_DISABLE: gbic-invalid error detected on Gi1/0/17, putting Gi1/0/17 in err-disable state (SW-1)
Could someone help me here please?
Thank you in advance.

Hold on ... You're sticking a 10 Gbps SFP into a port that will only support 1 Gbps.
This SFP+ will only work on a C3KX-NM-10G.

Adding to Leo's earlier response - 10 Gbps modules are NOT backward compatible on 1 Gbps ports.
More accurately, an SFP+ transceiver (like your SFP-H10GB) requires an SFP+ port.
An SFP+ port can accept 1 Gbps SFP or 10 Gbps SFP+ transceivers.
