ISL Trunk between Switch and Router with Input& CRC errors

I have an isl trunk setup between 2900XL switch and 3640 router. Switch has IOS 12.0(5.3)WC(1),and router is running 12.1(5)T10.

On switch after every 10 seconds 1 CRC and 1 input error is incremented and the keepalive is also set to 10 seconds.

Please provide help to resolve this issue.

you may be encountering bug ID CSCdm49462. Release notes state the following:

When ISL trunking between a 2600/3600 and a 2900xl switch the CRC counter

increments. Turning off keepalives on the router side causes the counters

to stop incrementing.
