LAN-to-LAN files transference using Windows Network Drives

Hi,

I have a problem when I am transferring or copying files between two LANs using Windows Network Drives (mapping drives), the files are not transferred or copied completely. I tried changing the MTU from 1500 to 3600 under the serial interfaces on the two routers of each network. The wan encapsulation is FrameRelay, look at the serial interfaces config:

interface Serial0

mtu 3800

no ip address

encapsulation frame-relay IETF

no ip mroute-cache

priority-group 10

frame-relay lmi-type ansi

!

interface Serial0.1 point-to-point

ip address 10.252.130.13 255.255.255.252

no ip mroute-cache

no cdp enable

frame-relay interface-dlci 17 CISCO

!

!

!

priority-list 10 protocol ip high list 101

!

Any idea about how to avoid the interruptions while files are being copied?

Thanks

To pin point, whether its not a problem with the client, machines, can you try transferring files through drive mapping, on your local lan, from PC A to PC B and check to see if this problem exists ...

Windows file transfer uses SMB, which should be running over TCP/IP, and since you have Priority queueing, configured, for IP with more priority, this shouldnt be much of a problem.
