HI ,

I hve to provide an interface that can support upto 20 different WAN sites on a single E1 line from a service provider. The service provider will do the necessary multiplexing for these lines and provide a single E1 at customer location. I need to know, what be the best option, MFT card or channelised E1/T1 network module to terminate this E1 line ??

A MFT card is a cheaper option but can I configure the MFT E1 card for 20 data channel groups ??

If so can u send me a sample config illustrating the same ?

Rgds

The MFT card is designed for Voice, though it does have the capability to run data. On a 2 port MFT card you can use only one port as data at a time. It would be a much better option to go with a channelized E1 module if your main intend is to use data services. If you want voice services, then its better to go for MFT card.
