Multicasting between VLANs

I have a Ghost server on vlan 65 that I need to be able to multicast to all of my other vlans. The setup is a 6509 at the core with fiber to individual closets hosting a 4006. Each 4000 has its own vlan with the exception of one which has 2 vlans. I have been researching this but am still not understanding how to configure this. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you enabled PIM on all interfaces connected to the 6509.

You will also need some form of RP whether static or via Auto-RP.

Global command require on the MSFC for ip multicast-routing

If you are running in Hybrid mode then enable IGMP-Snooping in CatOS mode.

If the 4000 supports IGMP-Snooping enable this on there if it dosen't and only works with CGMP then you will need to enable cgmp on the MSFC interfaces of your vlans.

If you require any additional help then e-mail me.

Thanks for your response. The only interfaces on the 6509 router blade are virtual. VLAN 1, 65, 66...etc. Do I enable PIM on all of those? And since the source (server) is located on the 4000, does PIM need to be enabled there?

Thanks

You only have to enable PIM on the interfaces/vlans where there are sources and receivers present.
