Nat inside and outside on the same interface

Hello, we currently are doing nat on a 2500 router , inside ethernet and outside on serial. This is over a WAN link to another company, the reason for nating. We are planning on having a VPN device(501 or 3002) as a backup to the serial WAN port on the router. This VPN device will be part of the LAN(Ethernet port). So when the serial drops we plan on having the router redirect traffic to the VPN device , over the internet , back to our companies

VPN concentrator. Can we still nat with just this one interface (ethernet) active? Any suggestions

on this requirement? How is this done ?

Thanks in advance..

Yes mankrom, You can do it. There is something called as NAT on a stick , through which we can do it. You need to apply NAT in conjunction with a route-map. Go through the following link,
