PIX 515 Remote Modem Access

I have a bunch of PIX 515 firewalls that I wish to acces via a straight analog phone line. This way if the box is messed up I can still manage and reboot it without network access. How can I accomplish this on these models. All I have is two RJ45s, a USB and a DB-15 failover port. Do I have to buy a card or does Cisco recommend another method of WAN firewall managment aside from the standard SSH and Telnet network access?

The way to do it is to configure a modem for auto answering and connect it to cisco console port. There are some disadvantage to this approach but its the easiest way. USB ports are not used on PIX. the DB-15 is only for Failover purposes.

If your pixes are near to each other you can buy a console terminal server (www.avocent.com CP810 model) That is a more prefered way.

You can attach one modem to this device and control up to 8 devices
