Hi,
I have a problem with the IPM Server when I try to configure a collector I get error message NOT A KNOWN ENTITY.
Has anyone seen this message before and knows a solution ??
Thanks in advance

What is the IOS version running on the source router for the collector?

I found the problem, it was the IOS. It was Version 12.2(4) S it does not support the mibs used with the IPM. With an Enterprise Image everything works fine.
But thank you for trying to help

I´ve tested the IOS version 12.2(15)T - rsp-pv-mz.122-15.T.bin = SERVICE PROVIDER - and the problem exists too...

CSCdy68033 Bug - Headline IPM does snmpget on ciscoMemoryPoolFree.0 instead of instance 1
Release Notes
IPM 2.3 and 2.4 do snmpget on ciscoMemoryPoolFree.0, but should snmpget
ciscoMemoryPoolFree.1. This will result in IPM errors like:
AddCollErr
REASON: Not a known Entity
when adding collectors, and "The Router resources are low" in the ConfigServer
trace, if snmpget ciscoMemoryPoolFree.0 on the source router fails with noSuchName.
This problem would be seen in IOS versions 12.2(11.04)DA 12.2(11.02)PI05 12.2
(11.03)T 12.2(11.02)S 012.002(011.002) 12.0(21.03)S03 or higher.
Workaround: A patch to fix this problem is available.

Hi Andreas,
I also faced the same error message "unknown entity" while adding in collector today. I searched for solution in discussion forum and found your message. Am currently having 12.2(16a) version on my router. It is IP version not Entriprise. But it supports RTR.
Is it a mandatory thing that the IOS should be Entriprise edition?
Plz clarify...
