Problems With Cisco IR509U

Hello guys,

I have a problem with the router IR509U, I can't connect it through the Console port
I have tried to connect the router with differents configurations and differents Console cables and adapters and I have the same result, the promp shows nothing!

If anyone knows about this router and/or this problem, or have information, please tell me what did you do for solve it or contact me.

Hi Jorge

Is your laptop connecting to the IR509 using the blue Cisco console cable?  This cable has different DB9 pin assignment than normal serial cable.  Then the second step is to confirm your laptop serial port uses a normal RS232 serial handshake such as baudrate, bits and flow control.  The last step is to make sure your CSMP GUI (not CLI) is connecting over the correct serial port.  If you are using USB to Serial converter, this port number varies so please check in your laptop device manager to make sure.
