Remote access via AS5300 & VPN3K

Hi,

Can I use AS5300 to terminate direct dial-up connection from remote user (user will be assigned an IP + authenticated by Cisco RADIUS@CAR), and use the VPN Client software to establish IPSec tunnel to a VPN3K box for secure connection (assigned another IP + authenticated by Cisco CAR)?

Thanks.

AK

The purpose is to have end-to-end encryption between remote client and access server@VPN 3K.

Thanks.

If the remote client is dialing up to a 5300, the dial up connection it's self is already very secure. A vpn server/client setup would only be needed if forming a connection via the internet or any other untrusted environment.e.g. if dialing up to an ISP then connecting to corporate network.
