Route-map usage

I am trying to setup a loopback interface on one of our internet routers. I need to use the redistribute static command on the core but I would like to use the route-map as the mechanism to tell the core where to go for that route. I haveny found any clear documentation on how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

Chapter 14 of the Cisco Press "Routing TCP/IP Vol I" is all about route maps. Good book to have in any case.
