All - this is probably a very simple question.
How do I capture the contents of the show tech command to a txt file or word doc without having to do a copy paste for each screen while I am telneted into the box.
The box is a 3750 POE switch.
Thanks

It depends a bit on your terminal emulator, but most terminal emulators give you an option to log your session. You can turn on logging to a file, perform the show tech, turn off logging to the file and you have the content of show tech in the file. If you use Hyperterm you go to the Transfer in the tool bar, click Capture Text, fill in the file name in the dialog box, click start. This starts capturing your session. When you are finished click on Transfer, move the cursor to Capture Text, aand click on stop. This terminates the capture of text and has the content of show tech in the file. If you do not use HyperTerm most terminal emulators have a similar function.

most telent clients have a way to log the scree contents as they go by . If you don't have a good telnet client go grab Tera Term (freeware) and use it, very good logging capability.
