static routing problem

i have a configuration that has been working for months. There is a the 'Metro' router that has a link to Quest frame relay that on the far side is 161.215.122.49.

The users at Metro can get to an app at 161.125.134.53 based on a static route.

The problem is that the users at 'Sweetwater' that go through Metro can't do that now.

I have a static on Sweetwater:

ip route 161.125.134.0 255.255.255.0 10.254.254.230

which points to the Metro side of our Sprint frame relay.

Should't the static on Sweetwater get the user to Metro and then the static on Metro get them to the destination?

The problem could be that the traffic cannot get back, You would need a static on Metro pointing back to the Sweetwater address.
