Hello,

Which Cisco switches run CatOS and which run IOS?

Are there some that can run both CatOS and IOS?

Hi,

Cat6000 runs both CATOS and IOS. But need to make sure for running IOS which is also known as NATIVE IOS you must have MSFC on Supervisor oherwise with only sup is only capable of running CATOS.

Cst4000 runs CATOS with sup1 and sup2 but if you have 4232-L3 blade as one of the module you can have IOS on that but if you have sup2+,3,4,5 you will run IOS on that.

Catlyst 3750,3550,3660,2950,2900XL,3500XL runs IOS only.
