Switches, Routers, & IPV6- Who Will Play With Who

Hey all,

I work for a government agency and they are tasking the staff to get information on how IPV6 will affect our infrastructure. Can anyone tell me what series of routers and switches starting at the low end will support IPv6. I have heard that all the 2500 and 2600 series routers will not support IPv6. Thanks.

Both 2500 and 2600 series routers support IPv6.

Thanks.

IPv6 support should be irrelevant for the switch as it will just be seen as L2 data.

As far as the routers are concerned, it should be supported on most platforms wuth the right level of code.

Please refer to the Feature Navigator for more details on supported platforms and the required level of code.

Hope this helps,
