First are you running IOS or CatOS on this switch ?When you perform a "show module" whats status does it say the L3 module is ? Have you rebooted the module ?

The swich is running CatOS

The "show module" display "status ok"

I did the reboot of the entire chassis and nothing.

are you entering in the correct module number to session over?

Doris (enable)show module

Mod Slot Ports Module-Type Model Sub Status

--- ---- ----- ------------------------- ------------------- --- --------

1 1 2 1000BaseX Supervisor WS-X6K-SUP1A-2GE yes ok

15 1 1 Multilayer Switch Feature WS-F6K-MSFC no ok

9 9 8 1000BaseX Ethernet WS-X6408-GBIC no ok

For instance you would type "session 15" to get to layer 3 virtual module on this one

Yes, I´m intro the correct number for the modudle(#3). I not have problem making telnet or connecting by console port to the L3 module.

The problem especificly is with the "session" comand

for this module, because not respond.

Thanks for your help

Well then my only advise would be to clear the configs to default, reseat the cards and then try again. If that doesn't work put it into another switch and then if that doesn't work open a TAC case.

I´ll do that, is good idea.

Thank you.

What CAT OS are you running? We had few bugs in CAT OS

If I were you, I would upgrade to 6.4(11) or 7.6(8) and test
