Traffic path selection with BGP

We do have a network with this architecture:

RC---wan---RT

| |

wan lan

| |

RV---wan---RS

Routers RT and RS are in AS65000, Router RC in AS65008 and router RV in AS 10.

Workstations are behind RC (x.3.10.0/24).

The servers are in the LAN segment between RT an RS in two different subnets x.3.200.0/24 and x.3.210.0/24.

What we want to do is that if the workstation access a server located on the x.3.200.0/24 traffic should follow RC--wan--RT path, on the other hand if the workstation access a server located on the x.3.210.0/24. traffic should follow RC--wan--RV--wan--RS path back and forth.

Is this possible?

Thank you

On RC, you can set the local preference to 110 for x.3.210.0/24 received from RV. This will force the selection of this path rather than the one received from RT. For x.3.200.0/24, yo don't need to do anything since the AS-PATH on the path received from RT is shorther that the one received from RV, the natural selection process will take care of it.

As far as the returning traffic is concerned, if you want to conserve symmetry you might want to use PBR in as65000 to forward traffic based on the source address.

Hope this helps,
