I have a Cisco Catalyst 2950 switch with 10 pc's plugged in. Two of tese pc's are set at 100Mbps/Full duplex and the others are set at 10Mbps/Full duplex (NIC limitations). The performances of the network are not bad. Evething looks fine execpt some Defered frames.

Should I turn on the flow control option to improve the performances between 10Mbps devices and 100Mbps devices ?

Hi...

Flow Control is good way to start troubleshooting deferred frames. Deferred counter go up when transmission to a port is delayed because the port is busy and not ready to receive data. Flow control will help you prevent congestion on ports. I suggest to enable 'flowcontrol recieved on send desired'

Check the conf guide: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps628/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a008007e8d6.html#xtocid4

Hope this help!
